West Sussex winners at Insider's Made in the South East Awards

West Sussex businesses Higgidy and Electrionic Temperature Instruments were winners at Insider's 'Made in the South East Awards', held on 24 November 2016 at the Hilton Hotel South Terminal in Gatwick.

Food and Drink Award

Winner: Higgidy
From its base in Shoreham-on-Sea, Higgidy has become a familiar brand in many supermarkets, known for its delicious home-made pies, quiches and sausage rolls. The company’s 24 per cent increase in sales last year reflects the growth in both its existing customer base and also the continued development new products. Judges also noted the large investments it has made in consolidating and improving its site.

Shortlisted: Raise Bakery, Fridays

 

Apprenticeship & Training Scheme Award

Winner: Electronic Temperature Instruments
A specialist manufacturer of temperature instruments based in Worthing, the business has been running its apprenticeship scheme for three years. The judges were impressed with the fact that the scheme has led ETI to consider the various aspects of the way it operates.

Shortlisted: Chemigraphic, Apex Lifts
