Juggling work and unpaid care can be difficult and it’s not surprising that many carers give up work or reduce their hours to cope.
But many of these employees will be your most valuable members of staff; often over 40 years-old and at the peak of their careers.
Evidence shows that making simple changes like introducing flexible working, emergency leave and workplace support can help to retain staff, reduce stress, increase productivity and reduce sick leave.
As a West Sussex business we’re giving you, through the Council’s enhanced membership, the opportunity to join Employers for Carers and access FREE resources to help you support your employees with caring responsibilities.
Employers for Carers support a network of employers, who recognise the benefits and importance of supporting and retaining their staff who are carers, by providing case studies, legislation, e-Learning and essential guides for employers, managers and working carers.
