Apprenticeship Levy Business Transfer
9th April 2019

West Sussex County Council is now accepting applications from employers seeking funding to pay for apprenticeship training.

Apprenticeship Levy Business Transfer

As of April 2019, employers paying into the Apprenticeship Levy can now transfer up to 25% of their annual levy funding pot to other organisations which will pay for the training costs of apprenticeship qualifications.

These changes mean that West Sussex County Council can support organisations in West Sussex to boost the skills and knowledge of new and existing employees across the county.

Applications are welcomed from:

  • businesses and organisations based in the county of West Sussex serving West Sussex residents
  • the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector in West Sussex serving West Sussex residents
  • West Sussex schools that do not pay into the council's apprenticeship levy.

West Sussex County Council is keen to receive applications from the following sectors: social care, STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths), construction, tourism, community, digital and SEND (special education needs and disability).

Deadline for application is the 31 May 2019 and you can find out more about the criteria and apply by visiting: www.westsussex.gov.uk/apprenticeshipfunding
