The county consists of seven District and Boroughs – Adur, Arun, Chichester, Crawley, Horsham, Mid Sussex and Worthing - and is divided into three business geographies:

  • Coastal West Sussex has a diverse range of small and growing businesses and specific niches in branches of advanced engineering, tourism, food and drink and marine related activities. Its coastline and access to markets through Shoreham Port are key assets.
  • Rural West Sussex has strengths in the land-based industries and has large numbers of small engineering and professional services businesses. Its key asset is the quality of its natural environment and the South Downs National Park.
