Taste West Sussex

Local food and drink production is an important feature of the West Sussex economy, and we have a range of activities promoting and supporting the 'taste of West Sussex'.

A largely rural county blessed with abundant farmland and bounded by a coastline with a rich fishing heritage, West Sussex has a plentiful larder stocked full of exceptional ingredients. Little wonder then that the county is home to a plethora of top quality food and drink producers and outlets.

We have a superb range of produce, including some of the world’s finest sparkling wines, award-winning cheeses, and all manner of artisan fare from pies to pints, chocolates to chutneys. Visitors to the county can discover local delicacies such as Horsham Gingerbread and Selsey seafood, and West Sussex food producers are becoming increasingly entrepreneurial, developing an increasing number of high qualities, unique visitor experiences, tapping into and strengthening the tourist economy.
