Developing employees for opportunities in uncertain times - how to develop them to grow your business

The competitive environment looks challenging but there will be opportunities. The landscape is becoming increasingly fast-moving and complex. The implication is that everyone will have their part to play in identifying and making the most of opportunities and mitigating threats. This has implications for how we develop our employees.

Giving them facts is no longer sufficient, instead we need to develop people to be flexible, agile and able to survive and prosper in shifting, uncertain business environments.

We would like to share our insights with you, particularly what to look out for, what to develop and what to avoid. This workshop will focus on the following questions:

  • How we identify and develop our aspiring leaders?
  • How do we make good decisions in uncertain, changing circumstances?
  • How do lead our teams in a shifting business environment?

Annual Health Innovation Programme (HIP) (External)

In partnership with SETsquared, Wessex AHSN will be running their 3rd annual Health Innovation Programme (HIP) in February 2017, and the application process is now open. This 3 day course is aimed at innovators and entrepreneurs who are looking to start or expand a healthcare related business. In previous years, delegates from Universities, the NHS and established comapnies have found it extremely valuable.

"I attended the 3 day HIP hosted by Wessex AHSN and found all 3 days incredibly beneficial. The speakers and workshops really helped me understand the complexities of bringing a solution to the market, and other attendees had a wealth of experience both in and out of healthcare enabling all innovators in the room to bounce ideas around and get feedback instantly. I strongly recommend this course for anyone with an idea, start-up, or solution for the healthcare market". Will Britton, Founder and CEO of Inclusive Media Solutions
