Student Projects and Case Studies

In addition to placements and internships, companies can benefit from student input through case studies, presentations and student projects, outlining a current business issue or indeed to gain insight into alternative approaches to a business challenge that has been resolved.  For example, undergraduate pharmacy courses use case studies covering topics such as product recall, drug discovery and regulatory processes to bring a drug from conception to market. We also cover a large range of topics associated with pharmacology in the following areas:

  • Improved diagnostics for disease, monitoring of disease treatment
  • Novel pharmacological treatments for disease
  • Role of pharmacists in industry

Other areas where we would welcome employer engagement include professional skills development for chemistry students, environmental pollution, new drugs to market in the pharmaceutical industry, advances in clinical and bioanalytical chemistry, regulatory affairs and advances in drug delivery science, roles of biomedical science graduates in industry.

Postgraduate students (MSc, MRes, MPhil and PhD) from many disciplines have the opportunity to use research conducted with external organisations as part of their dissertation, which can benefit all parties.
