Big Potential BIG Lottery Fund grant fund which will deliver approx. £10m of grant funding over 3 years to eligible VCSE organisations with the aim of improving the sustainability, capacity and scale of VCSE organisations in order that they may deliver greater social impact. The programme aims to raise awareness of the social investment market and support VCSEs who want to prepare themselves for social investment. Read more

New social enterprise fund to unlock 'potential' of neglected buildings The UK's first social enterprise fund to help deprived communities restore and reuse empty buildings is to be launched by The Prince's Regeneration Trust (PRT) as part of the Big Lottery Fund. Read more

Low Carbon Workspaces Grant and Grants for Eco Innovation Both grants are open to SMEs, employing less than 250 employees, based in the South East of England. Low Carbon Workspaces – This match funded grant, worth up to £5,000, is aimed at SMEs who own or rent their premises on a long lease. It will finance energy efficiency solutions to reduce energy consumption, bills and carbon emissions. Grants for Eco Innovation Grants of up to £3,000 are available to help businesses who already have an environmentally-friendly product or service and need help getting it to market. Government lending £20m through Funding Circle £20 million is available to British small businesses through Funding Circle, as part of the Government's Business Finance Partnership scheme (BFP). The Government will start lending to all businesses which meet certain criteria. They will fund each loan at a set amount which will be fixed at any point of time. Read more www.fundingcircle.com

Community Plus Fund – The Santander Foundation has a £1.23 million fund. Grants of up to £5,000 are available to help with specific costs, such as the cost of salaries, equipment or materials, for projects that directly benefit disadvantaged people within the UK. The scheme is open to small UK registered charities. Nomination forms may be submitted at any time. Read more

Help for Rural Social Enterprises – The LEADER fund is part of the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE), which aims to improve the competitiveness of farming and forestry, support a diverse and successful rural economy, and help to develop vibrant and thriving rural communities.
